Patient Rights in the Emergency Room

The Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) requires hospital emergency departments to provide any individual coming to their premises with a medical screening exam (MSE) to determine if an emergency condition is present.

When you come to Wamego City Hospital's Emergency Room you have the right to an appropriate medical screening examination and also any necessary stabilizing treatment.

We are committed to providing quality compassionate care.

If you have any questions or concerns in regards to the Emergency Room, please contact our Chief Executive Officer, John Broberg. 785-456-4383.
